Africa Month | Spotlight on Nigerian literature with Professor Ainehi Edoro
Nigerian literature is a treasure trove of stories that reflect the country’s rich cultural heritage, complex history, and dynamic present.
On any occasion when the words Nigeria and Literature are spoken of in the same sentence, it is inevitable that three writers are mentioned: Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
Professor Ainehi Edoro is a Nigerian writer, critic and academic.
She is the founder and publisher of the African literary platform Brittle Paper.
She is currently an assistant professor of Global Black Literature at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and joins us this morning virtually as we’ll be discussing Nigerian literature and how it gained popularity over the years.
