Albanese has ‘broken trust’ for people in Kiama
Liberal candidate for Gilmore Andrew Constance says the people of Kiama in New South Wales have had their “trust” broken over “three years of bad government” under Labor.
The seat of Gilmore is held by 373 votes, and the Labor Party has held it since 2019, although Mr Constance believes this is an electorate that can be swung.
“The last couple of years, I haven’t seen inflation have such an impact on people’s lives; there’s a human impact to it,” Mr Constance told Sky News Australia.
“I’m getting a lot of feedback to that effect, and it’s hard.
“They’re angry at Bowen, they’re angry at Albanese, they’re angry at Phillips, because these promises were made, and they’ve just been broken, and they’ve lost that trust.
“We need a strong Gilmore voice in Canberra, not an Albanese government voice in Gilmore, and that’s what I’m going to change.”
