Albanese on track for second term, final Newspoll shows
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese looks poised for a second term in The Lodge, according to the final Newspoll conducted by The Australian.
Labor’s primary vote remains steady at 33 per cent, while the Coalition holds a narrow lead at 34 per cent, despite a slight decline in support.
The Greens have also seen a slight increase.
On a two-party preferred basis, Labor leads the Coalition 52.5 to 47.5.
Anthony Albanese maintains a 16 per cent lead on Opposition Leader Peter Dutton as preferred Prime Minister; however, 14 per cent of voters remain undecided.
Three-fifths of voters say they are dissatisfied with how the Opposition Leader has performed during the campaign.
