Amazon scraps supposed proposal to display tariff costs on products after Trump call
Amazon has denied reports that it was planning to display added tariff costs next to product prices, despite earlier speculation that the e-commerce giant might soon show the impact of new import charges.
The potential move sparked backlash, with the White House quickly denouncing the idea.
Speaking to Sky News host Rita Panahi, comedian and commentator Alex Stein weighed in on the controversy.
“Well, I hope it was always fake news … after Jeff Bezos’ disaster,” Mr Stein said.
“MAGA is already upset they sent Katy Perry up there. He needs to try to appease the American people.”
