Angus Taylor and Sussan Ley make their final pitch ahead of Liberal leadership ballot
Angus Taylor and Sussan Ley are making their final pitches to Liberal Party colleagues as they vie to replace Peter Dutton as leader.
Both contenders will ramp up efforts and lobby colleagues in a last push to secure votes ahead of a party room meeting on Tuesday to choose the next Opposition leader.
Speaking to The Australian, Mr Taylor is pledging to reward talent over factional loyalty, boost female representation in leadership and streamline the party’s campaign efforts.
Ms Ley claims becoming leader would send a strong message that things need to be done differently.
