Anthony Albanese pledges $204m towards Medicare hotline
Labor is doubling down on health, promising Australians will have access to free, after-hours telehealth services if re-elected.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is planning on rebranding Healthdirect to ‘1800 MEDICARE’.
The helpline aims to relieve pressure on hospitals by allowing patients to seek medical treatment remotely.
Mr Albanese will be campaigning in Western Sydney this morning where he will announce the $204 million rebrand.
