At least 4 killed, over 500 injured after blast in Bandar Abbas
At least four people were killed and more than 500 injured in a massive explosion that has rocked Shahid Rajaee Port in the city of Bandar Abbas in southern Iran’s Hormozgan province on Saturday. Eyewitnesses say the blast shattered windows within a radius of several kilometers, with footage shared online showing a mushroom cloud following the explosion. A local disaster management official told Iranian state media that the blast came from containers at the Shahid Rajaee Port, but the cause of the explosion is not yet known. The official said first responders are evacuating the area and transferring the injured to medical centers.
