At least 9 dead as two boats capsize in SW China, rescue underway
At least nine people were killed and one remains missing after two passenger boats capsized in the Liuchong River in Qianxi City, a tourist attraction in southwest China’s Guizhou Province, at around 4:40 p.m. on Sunday, according to local authorities.
A total of 70 people have been hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Efforts to locate and rescue the missing passenger are underway, with 83 people having already been found and rescued.
