Australia left ‘wide open’ to foreign interference: Andrew Bolt
Sky News host Andrew Bolt claims Australia has left itself “wide open” to foreign interference as a court has found it was “more likely than not” some Chinese students were able to elect another former Chinese student to Adelaide Council.
“Something extraordinary, how naive are we … we actually let non-citizens vote in elections here to choose who runs some of our capital cities … even students from communist China can come and vote in those elections and in some other council elections,” Mr Bolt said.
“A court has now said it was more likely than not Chinese students had actually managed to elect another former Chinese student to the Adelaide Council … can you imagine China ever letting an Australian stand in an election for one of its cities?”
