Australian consumers financially ‘squeezed’
Westpac Chief Economist Luci Ellis says the Australian consumer has been “squeezed” financially.
Ms Ellis told Sky News Business Reporter Ed Boyd that “high inflation” and “rising taxation” have added to pressure on Australians.
“And to a lesser extent, high interest rates.”
