Ballerina jailed in Russia for sending ‘$50 to Ukraine’ thanks Trump after release
Comedian Alex Stein has labelled the jailing of a Russian-American ballerina for sending $50 to Ukraine “absolutely ridiculous”.
Russian-American ballerina Ksenia Karelina thanked US President Donald Trump for freeing her from Russian custody during a prisoner exchange.
“I’m happy that she’s free,” Mr Stein told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“For $50 to the Ukraine to be jailed for 12 years – absolutely ridiculous.”
