Ben and Jerry's co-founder arrested after Gaza protest | ABC NEWS
Ben Cohen, co-founder of US ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s, was arrested by US Capitol police after protesting the Gaza war during Robert F Kennedy Jr’s Senate hearing on Wednesday.
Video shows Cohen escorted by police officers along with other protesters.
“Congress kills poor kids in Gaza by buying bombs and pays for it by kicking kids off Medicaid in the US,” Cohen can be heard saying in the video.
Kennedy testified on his department’s proposed budget for the 2026 fiscal year on Wednesday morning, and later answered questions for the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
