Ben Roberts-Smith loses bid to overturn defamation decision | ABC NEWS
The full bench of the Federal Court of appeal in Sydney has dismissed Australian special forces veteran Ben Robert Smith’s appeal to have a multi-million dollar defamation loss overturned.
The appeal was launched in February last year after his multi-million dollar defamation case against three Nine-owned newspapers was dismissed.
Mr Roberts-Smith sued over a series of articles published in 2018 with allegations of war crimes in Afghanistan, bullying, and domestic violence against a woman in Canberra.
