‘Big shoes to fill’: David Shoebridge on the next leader of the Greens
Greens Senator David Shoebridge says replacing Adam Bandt as leader of the Australian Greens will be “big shoes to fill”.
The Greens will hold a three-way contest between Mehreen Faruqi, Sarah Hanson-Young, and Larissa Waters following Adam Bandt’s electoral defeat.
“That’s a real loss, losing Adam … whoever is chosen to do that is going to have the job to bring the party together and put forward a positive platform for the next three years,” Mr Shoebridge told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
