‘Bigger corrections’: A Labor lead does not mean winning the seat
Sky News Election Analyst Tom Connell says contests within key battleground seats could need “bigger corrections” than what has been seen before at a federal election.
“One thing to really look out for, it’s happened in past elections, it’s prepoll and postal vote,” Mr Connell said.
“It looks like they’ll grow again, and there is a chance that this does really correct seats, the likelihood would be Labor could be in the lead in two-party preferred but if that lead is two or three percent in a seat, that won’t necessarily be safe.
“We’re going to have to be a little bit cautious on the night.
“Some of those contests could get bigger corrections than what we’ve seen before at a federal level.”
