US singer-songwriter Billy Joel has been diagnosed with a brain disorder, affecting his hearing, vision and balance.
It has caused him to cancel his already rescheduled tour dates in the US, Canada and United Kingdom.
The 76-year-old is undergoing physical therapy and has been advised not to perform as he recovers.
