Birmingham bin strikes to continue after union rejects council's offer
Strike action by bin workers in Birmingham will continue after union members overwhelmingly rejected the council’s latest offer.
The dispute, which began on 11 March over pay, has led to mounting rubbish in the streets and concerns over public health.
While a partial pay protection deal was agreed, the union described the council’s offer as “totally inadequate,” citing ongoing pay cuts for workers.
