British Steel: Raw materials to keep blast furnaces going 'are in the UK', says minister
Raw materials to keep blast furnaces going are “in the UK” and “nearby” the British Steel site in Scunthorpe, treasury minister James Murray has said.
Murray told Sky News that it is important that this coking coal makes its way into the blast furnaces to keep the steelworks going.
Pressed on where these raw materials are at the moment, he said: “They’re in the UK and they’re nearby.
