Budget 3.0 | NATU expresses 'devastation' over budget cuts
Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana announced that additional spending for education would be revised down R29.5 billion announced in March to R19,5 billion.
The preservation of teaching posts will be prioritised, while the Early Childhood education subsidy will increase from 17 rand to 24 rand per child.
