Calls for lasting peace in eastern DRC: Ronald Lamola weighs in
International Relations and Cooperation Minister, Ronald Lamola says the continent calls for the implementation of the Peace and Security Framework in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Minister Lamola participated in the 12th High-Level Meeting of the Regional Oversight Mechanism of the Peace, Security and Cooperation Framework for the Democratic Republic of Congo. The PSC Framework is an initiative aimed at addressing the structural causes of instability and recurring cycles of conflict in the eastern DRC and the Great Lakes region. He says the meeting also discussed the situation in South Sudan and Sudan where they are calling for cessation of hostilities in both countries.
