Six years ago, Chinese President Xi Jinping introduced the concept of the “Community with a Shared Future for the Ocean.” As the world continues to grapple with maritime challenges, this idea is more relevant than ever.
A vivid example of this vision in action is the Ark Peace – China’s first ocean-going hospital ship operated by the navy. This floating medical center has traveled across the seas to deliver humanitarian aid and free medical services to countries along the coastlines. It stands as a powerful symbol of a maritime community with a shared future.
