Chris Hipkins says Govt’s Budget relies on keeping women's pay low | Stuff.co.nz
Speaking at the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, Labour leader Chris Hipkins is getting stuck into the Government over its scaling back of the Equal Pay Act.
Hipkins is arguing the Government has failed to keep key election promises, such as delivering its promised “back pocket boost” to families and investing in infrastructure.
His speech started with issues he sees in the coalition’s term so far, dotted with messages that “there is an alternative” and “there are always choices”.
