City Power investigate Braamfontein cable fire: Hasina Gori reports
City Power is to investigate the cause of a fire along the Double Decker route in Braamfontein, Johannesburg on Thursday morning. Firefighters continue to damp down the underground cables which caught alight. Preliminary investigations indicate that the fire may have been caused by yet another suspected cable theft and vandalism in the area. This has affected power supply in Braamfontein, Parktown West, Newtown Junction and surrounding areas.
