Closing arguments in Joshlin Smith Trial
The state says the most reliable and important corroboration of the testimony of its star witness, Lourentia Lombaard is the testimony of evangelist, Nico Steven Coetzee.
Coetzee testified that Kelly Smith told him in August 2023 that she would even accept R5 000 if the people could not give the R20 000.
He also said she told him that the Middelpos area would look like a movie scene in January or February the next year

Closing arguments are underway in the Western Cape High Court sitting in Saldanha, in the trial in which Joshlin’s mother, Kelly Smith, Jacquen Appollis and Steveno van Rhyn, are charged with kidnapping and human trafficking.
