‘Clouds on the horizon’ for Australia despite risk of recession
Motley Fool Chief Investment Officer Scott Phillips claims there are some “clouds on the horizon” after Westpac predicted a 45 per cent chance of Australia falling into a recession.
“We’ve just got through the inflation pressure – I mean … inflation is still probably higher than it should be,” he told Sky News Australia.
“But we’ve just started seeing that moderate meaningfully; rates have just started to come down.”
