Coalition frontbench not ‘pulling their weight’ during election
Liberal Senator Dave Sharma believes members of the Liberal Party frontbench were not “pulling their weight” during the federal election campaign.
The Liberal Party’s leadership race could be decided by just one or two votes as shadow treasurer Angus Taylor and deputy leader Sussan Ley prepare to go head-to-head.
“Who didn’t have the capability, the profile, the policy heft to take the best offering to the election,” Mr Sharma told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“I don’t think there was enough merit in that mix, would be my honest assessment.”
