Coalition promises $750 million crime crackdown if elected
The Coalition is promising a $750 million crime crackdown investment if elected.
Operation Safer Communities will establish a national drug enforcement and organised crime strike team.
The funding will also go towards introducing a 12-month pilot for a national child sex offender disclosure scheme – modelled on similar programs in Britain and Western Australia.
The proposal allows parents and guardians to submit an application to authorities to see if an adult their child is connecting with is a convicted sex offender.
