Colours shatter the lens through which we see
In the Quiet of Colour exhibition opened on the 10th of May 2025 at our very own Gallery21 in the Transwerke building at Constitution Hill in Braamfontein.
It features Blessing Blaai, Sizani Baloyi and Umlungu.
In the Quiet of Colour, colour serves as the veil billowing in the doorway of this exhibition as we explore alluring and seductive power of colour to distort and manipulate our realities, whether we choose it or not.
The rose tinted glasses we put over our worldview are called into question here directing us to a reflective sit down session with the paintings on the wall.
And now we are joined by Kamogelo Machaba, a multi-disciplinary artist specialising in photography and a creative multimedia specialist and curator
Nkanyezi Gumede.
