Dave Sharma ‘worried’ over contested Liberal leadership battle
Liberal Senator Dave Sharma claims he is “worried” about the Coalition becoming a divided Party after the Liberal leader contest.
“This is a contested leadership battle, and we haven’t had one of these in the Liberal Party for some time,” Mr Sharma told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“I hope we are all mature and I guess enough of team players to recognise that whoever becomes the leader will need to have broad-based support.
“Ultimately, that’s our most important interest … is the success of us as an incredible opposition or an alternative government.”
