Death toll rises after huge 'chemical blast' at Iran's Bandar Abbas port | ABC NEWS
Iran’s president has visited casualties of a huge explosion that rocked one of the Islamic Republic’s main ports. Iran’s military sought to deny links to the delivery of missile propellant from China, as new videos emerged showing an apocalyptic scene at the still-smouldering port and the death toll rose to 40.
CCTV footage captured the moment of Saturday’s blast which took place in the Shahid Rajaee section of the port, Iran’s biggest container hub, shattering windows for several kilometers around, tearing metal strips off shipping containers and badly damaging goods inside, state media said.
