Diddy trial: Ex-wife Cassie Ventura fought what "only the demon himself could have done”
The testimony of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ex-wife, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, wrapped up on Friday and afterward her lawyer spoke with the media and offered statements from both Ventura and her husband, Alex Fine.
Ventura said the testimony had been “Extremely challenging, but also remarkably empowering and healing” for her. “I hope my testimony has given strength and a voice to survivors,” she said through her lawyer, Douglas Wigdor on Friday.
Her husband said that he feels “Profound anger that she’s been subjected to sitting in front of the person who tried to break her – you did not… She did the work of fighting the demons that only the demon himself could have done to her,” Fine said through Wigdor.
U.S. prosecutors allege that for 20 years, behind the scenes, Combs was coercing and abusing women with help from a network of associates who helped silence victims through blackmail and violence.
