Donald Trump wakes up to Russia’s ‘flattery’ amid war in Ukraine
The Australian’s Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan discusses the “weaknesses” of President Donald Trump following Russia’s flattery to the leader of the free world.
“The explanation is terribly obvious … Putin has flattered Trump relentlessly and endlessly building miniature statues of him, commissioning portraits of him, going to church to pray for him,” Mr Sheridan said.
“Trump is very vulnerable to flattery but eventually reality has imposed itself even on Trump.”
