Donald Trump’s hilarious roast of ‘fake news media’ for ‘not taking a joke’
United States President Donald Trump has slammed the “fake news” after outrage over an AI-generated meme.
The slam came after President Trump was questioned by a reporter about Catholics not being happy about a recent image he posted.
Official White House social media accounts had posted an AI-generated photo of Donald Trump as the pope.
This followed an interaction Trump had with the press where he joked that he’d “like to be Pope”.
Trump’s remarks were about the Catholic Church electing a new Pope following the death of Pope Francis.
President Trump, when questioned about the outrage of the image, shut down the reporter, saying it was the “fake news” media who were outraged.
“You mean they can’t take a joke? You don’t mean the Catholics, you mean the fake news media. The Catholics loved it,” Trump said.
