Ed Davey denies Reform UK helped Liberal Democrat wins in local elections
Sir Ed Davey, the leader of the Liberal Democrats, has denied that his party’s “historic wins” in the local elections were helped by Reform UK.
The Lib Dems won control of three councils on polling day, gaining upwards of 160 councillors.
Asked if the Lib Dems were helped by Reform, he says: “I don’t think that’s true. If you look at where we did well, it’s our community politics that have won us lots of seats.”
