European leaders show solidarity with Ukraine
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has hosted European leaders in Kyiv to discuss a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.
The Coalition of the willing has threatened Russian President Vladimir Putin with new sanctions if Russia fails to fulfill an unconditional 30-day ceasefire.
“We accept the American proposal for a full and unconditional ceasefire, in fact, we ourselves are proposing it, Russia, as of now, is rejecting even that … and if they refuse something as basic as that it means they don’t want to end the war at all,” President Zelensky said.
Poland, Germany, Britain, and France leaders all came to Kyiv to show their support and solidarity with Ukraine, although Russian officials were quick to dismiss the allies’ initiative.
