General Secretary of the SACP says he doubts that the US government will take SA’s concerns to heart when President Ramaphosa meets with US President Donald Trump. On the land question Mapaila says the proposed Land referendum will represent the voice for South Africans and says the restitution process has failed as a method to reclaim land and will take as long as 300 years to return land to its rightful owners.
KZN Premier Thami Ntuli has justified his call for KZN provincial government and municipalities to start banking with Ithala bank. Ntuli says government institutions as well as political parties must strengthen and support Ithala because it is owned by the government. Ntuli has reassured investors that their money is safe with Ithala also says the bank has helped, to reinvigorate the rural and township economy in KZN.
