First day of pre-polling sets new record for turnout
Former Labor Senator Stephen Conroy says the Australians who came out in droves yesterday for early voting “clearly knew” who they were going to vote for.
Early voting for the federal election opened around the country on Tuesday.
More than 540,000 people cast their vote on the first day of early voting – smashing the 2022 record.
