Fleurhof Boy murder March: Community calling for justice and law enforcement
Leading scores of marchers to the Florida Police Station in Johannesburg, community leaders expressed deep concern over the scourge of violence against children.
They called for stronger and quicker interventions by law enforcement and for the criminal justice systems to effect quick justice.
The march was led by the community of Fleurhof, who are demanding justice after the discovery of the body of an 11-year-old boy in the area earlier this week.
The family of the boy – which has been left distraught – also joined the march where many showed them support.
My colleague, Patricia Visagie spoke to one of the organisers of the march.
