G4S officials suspended after an inmate's dies at Mangaung Correctional Centre
Eight G4S officials, including the Director of Operations, have been suspended following the death of an inmate at the Mangaung Correctional Centre in Bloemfontein.
The incident occurred after a raid was conducted without the knowledge of the temporary manager, who was supposed to be part of the operation.
Inmate Mpho Mkhumbeni died after allegedly being assaulted and tortured by an official over a misplaced R800.
