Gaza marks 77 years since Nakba with renewed calls for awareness
This past week, Palestinians marked 77 years since the Nakba.
Arabic for “catastrophe,” Nakba refers to the mass displacement during the 1948 Arab-Israeli war.
More than 700,000 Palestinians were forced from their homes following the creation of Israel.
