Thousands across the U.S. are remembering George Floyd on the fifth anniversary of his death. Floyd, a Black man in Minneapolis, was killed while being arrested by a white police officer. King Charles will fly to Ottawa Monday for his first visit to Canada as monarch. The King will deliver the throne speech, a task normally carried out by Canada’s Governor General. Charles’ mother, Queen Elizabeth, only gave the throne speech twice during her 70-year reign. As Eric Sorensen reports, the visit is being seen as highly symbolic – underscoring Canada’s sovereignty.
