Government must get ‘out of the way’ to let builders provide homes for Australians
Centre for Independent Studies Chief Economist Peter Tulip claims the private building sector is “busting” to provide homes but the government will not get “out of the way” to allow it to happen.
“We need to build more homes; we have more people that want homes than we have homes available to shelter them,” Mr Tulip told Sky News Australia.
“So, we need to increase supply is the big priority … the private sector is busting to build actually, there are builders and developers out there that would just love the chance to provide more houses but we are not letting them, we just need to get the government out of the way to let builders build.”
