Green MSP SURVIVES Ousting Over Supreme Court Transgender Ruling Criticism
Talk’s Mike Graham is joined on Morning Glory by Ash Regan, ALBA party MSP for Edinburgh eastern, to discuss reports that Green MSP Maggie Chapman has survived a bid to oust her from Holyrood’s equalities committee, after she criticised the judiciary over a judgement on the definition of a woman.
Chapman – the committee’s deputy convener – accused the court of “bigotry, prejudice and hatred” after it ruled a woman is defined by her biological sex under the Equality Act.
Ash says, “It should never have really come to this.”
