Hamas releases Israeli-American hostage Edan Alexander in ‘goodwill gesture’ towards Trump
Hamas has released Israeli-American hostage Edan Alexander in a bid to try and cement a permanent ceasefire with Israel.
Mr Alexander was transferred to the care of IDF forces inside the Gaza Strip before arriving in Israeli territory.
The 21-year-old was released as a “goodwill gesture” towards US President Donald Trump.
