Heavy traffic as metal debris spills on M1, damaging dozens of vehicles
Dozens of vehicles have reportedly suffered slashed tyres on the M1 Motorway north of Sydney after a truck spilled metal debris early this morning.
According to Live Traffic NSW, the debris was dropped in the southbound lanes between Wyong and Kariong shortly after 5:30am.
At least 40 cars are believed to have been affected.
Transport for New South Wales is assessing the situation but maintains it will endeavour not to close the freeway.
