‘Hostile and political act’: WH blasts Amazon over plans to display tariff costs for consumers
In a press conference early Tuesday morning, the White House slammed Amazon after reports the company plans to display the cost of Trump’s tariffs next to product prices, calling it a “hostile and political act.”
Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski react on #MorningJoe, arguing the move would give consumers transparency on rising costs:
“This is about consumers, right? So if you’re Amazon, you make your money from consumers. So it’s not really a ‘hostile act,’ and it’s not a ‘political act’— just in my opinion, this is an economic decision.”
