‘Hostile and political act’: White House slams Amazon over reports of plan to display tariff cost
The White House has accused Amazon of a “hostile and political act” over reports it plans to show customers the cost of US President Donald Trump’s tariffs.
An Amazon spokesperson responded to the reports, saying the company had considered it for its Amazon Haul store, but it’s “not going to happen”.
The latest polling shows growing pessimism among US consumers as President Trump enters his 100th day in office.
