Chinese cinema celebrates its 120th anniversary with the 20th Huabiao Film Awards lighting up Qingdao in east China’s Shandong Province over the weekend. Kara Wai Ying Hung won Best Actress for “Love Never Ends,” and Zhang Yi took home Best Actor for “Endless Journey.” Guo Fan, awarded Best Director, revealed that “Wandering Earth 3” is in production, aiming for a 2027 release. Making its debut in Qingdao, the ceremony underscored the city’s growing influence in China’s film industry.
