Human smugglers get combined 16 years after family froze to death at US-Canada border
Two men have been sentenced in Minnesota in a deadly human smuggling case that began at the Canadian border.
The pair were found guilty and sentenced to a combined 16 years in prison after a family of four froze to death while trying walk across the border in blizzard like conditions.
Prosecutors say both men exploited desperate migrants for profit.
