IG Kanja says Police have identified gun used in murder of Kasipul MP Charles Were
A police ballistic probe has revealed that the gun used to assassinate Kasipul MP Charles Ong’ondo Were was also tied to three previous robberies in Nairobi and Kiambu counties. The pistol was recovered from one of the ten suspects now in custody, with some of them linked to multiple crimes. According to the inspector general of police, forensic teams traced movements from parliament using CCTV footage and recovered cash allegedly paid to the killers. The manhunt continues for more suspects as investigators pursue all leads, but the motive of the killing is yet to be determined.
